Maranda is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2007. She has provided therapeutic services across a variety of settings, including community-based programs, outpatient clinics, and residential treatment facilities. In addition, she has served as an early childhood mental health consultant for early childhood education centers.
Maranda works with individuals across the lifespan, as well as with couples and families. She also has experience facilitating therapeutic groups focused on topics such as parenting, trauma, social skills, body safety, and grief and loss.
Her clinical work addresses concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relational conflict, behavioral challenges, and social development. Maranda integrates a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Play Therapy, Parent–Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
At the heart of Maranda’s work is a deeply held belief that every person deserves respect, understanding, and compassion. She views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative partnership and strives to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change during each stage of life’s journey.
