Internet Safety Class for Adults with IDD

Space is available for TEN residents of the city and county of Denver 18 years or older with an intellectual or developmental disability.

This free workshop is for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who want to learn how to safely use a computer, navigate the internet, and use apps to increase their independent living skills, community access, and social opportunities. Topics will include computer basics, online safety,
public vs. private information, social media and online dating dos and don’ts, using technology for self-entertainment, using apps to access local community, and more! The workshop will combine classroom time and community learning opportunities individualized for each participant’s strengths and growth areas.

Classes will be once a week for 12 weeks beginning on Wednesday, May 18 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Bring your laptop, or a laptop will be provided (to keep) at no cost to participants that don’t have the technology. Reasonable accommodations are available upon request.
