Parkinson Association of The Rockies Care Partner Summit

The Parkinson Association’s 3rd Annual Care Partner Summit is Colorado’s only educational event
exclusively for the Care Partners of People with Parkinson’s. In 2019, it came to the Parkinson
Association’s attention that the unique needs of Care Partners were not being met in our regular
educational programs. As a result, we developed the Care Partner Summit to better address the
unique challenges of being a Parkinson’s Care Partner. This annual summit aims to give Care
Partners a better understanding of the disease, strategies on maintaining a healthy mindset and
a safe space for Care Partners to share their experiences. Topics from previous summits include
making the holidays positive, the importance of self-compassion, mindfulness, journaling and
defining a new normal.

The summit is free and lunch is provided to in-person attendees; approximately 75 – 100 Care
Partners are expected to attend with additional attendees watching via live stream. As one of our
newer programs, we are always looking for new ways to partner with our sponsors and ideas are
welcome
