Partnering For the Future
In 2025, Colorado will see transformative changes in disability services with the introduction of Community First Choice, expanding access to countless individuals, and the new Children with Complex Health Needs Waiver (CwCHN). Together, PASCO and The Therapy Center are at the forefront of these advancements, combining decades of advocacy to ensure families thrive. For over 15 years, PASCO has fought to make In-Home Support Services accessible at the Medicaid State Plan level, eliminating the CNA licensure barriers that disproportionately affected non-native English speakers and caregivers unable to commit to extensive training programs.
Meanwhile, The Therapy Center championed the removal of the heart-wrenching Physician Statement of Life-Limiting Illness requirement, which once demanded families and physicians confirm a grim prognosis to access services—an emotional and unnecessary obstacle. United, PASCO and The Therapy Center are poised to deliver even greater support and expanded services for families across Colorado, ready to embrace the opportunities these state-level changes will bring.
