Activities, music, smiles, and more were in abundance for PASCO’s 29th Annual Summer Picnic!

More than 500 people made it out to Morse Park in Lakewood this past Friday. We were thrilled to see so many smiling faces. We hope everyone who came was able to enjoy the free food and activities and was as happy as we were to be all together in one place! With balloon animals, glitter tattoos, an adaptive rock wall, magic shows, and more, there was something fun for everyone to take part in.

Our local community partners helped to create a robust resource fair. Adaptive Adventures, El Grupo Vida, and more than two dozen other groups came out to share the different opportunities and types of support they offer. If you’d like to learn more about the groups in attendance or other resources available, you can visit our Community Resource page.

Although the sun was shining and music was hopping for most of the picnic, what beatific day in the park would be complete without an abrupt downpour? For those who left early or came a bit late, you missed a brief and sudden rain storm. It came flying in with some strong winds.

The wind sent some tents and loose papers flying, but the sun didn’t stay away for long. After a quick pause to set things back up, the party was right back where it left off.

Thank you to everyone who came!

We hope everyone who made it to this year’s picnic had an amazing time! We were able to create some great memories and hope that you can say the same.

For those who weren’t able to make it, we hope to catch you next year or at an upcoming event. You can see what other exciting things are on the horizon by clicking the button below.
